How do I register for the event?

Create a new account by clicking the "Create a New Account" button on the right. Once you create your account and validate your email address, you can add things to your shopping cart just as you would on Amazon or another website.

To select a Weekend passes, click the "Weekend Pass" link to the right, add a weekend pass in your name, and agree to the waiver. To select a T-shirt, click the "T-shirts" link to the right, choose the color and size, and add it to your cart.

To purchase these items, make sure to select the "Pay by Paypal" link to the right and follow the instructions. We no longer accept payment by Check.

Do I have to create my own account or can someone else pay for both of us?

If you want to volunteer or request housing, you need to create your own account. Otherwise, you can have someone else pay for your weekend pass with their account.

How do I volunteer?

You must first create an account. After you create an account, click the "Offer to Volunteer" link on the right side of the page. Then please fill out the information. We will contact you with more information.

If you are volunteering per hour, you MUST purchase a Weekend Pass first.

Why must we pay prior to volunteer?

We follow the policy standard of reimbursing volunteers for their effort after the exchange. This provides an incentive to follow-thru with the agreed upon commitment.

How do I request housing?

You must first create an account and purchase a weekend pass. Afterwards, click the "Request Housing" link on the right side of the page. Then please fill out the information. We will contact you with more information.

How do I offer to host?

You must first create an account. After you create an account, click the "Offer to Host" link on the right side of the page. Then please fill out the information. We will contact you with more information.

I signed up to host or volunteer but no longer can. How do I remove the request?

To remove any hosting or volunteer request, click the red "X" next to the request in the box on the right side. If you have already received e-mails from our housing or volunteer coordinators, please e-mail them as well.

To remove a request for housing, click the red "X" next to the request in the box on the right side. If you have already received e-mails from our housing coordinator, please e-mail them as well.

I bought a CHEX pass, but can no longer attend. Can I sell my pass to someone else?

While we wish you could attend CHEX, we do allow you to sell your pass to someone else. Once you find someone to purchase your pass, please do the following:

  1. Have the recipient of the pass create an account on this website.
  2. Log onto the site and click Transfer Pass and enter the recipient's email.
  3. Have the recipient log onto the site and add a weekend pass to their cart.
  4. Once a weekend pass is in their cart, they should click "Transfer Pass" and follow the prompts.

We can then transfer the pass to their account and remove it from yours.

After May 9, we can no longer process pass transfers through the website. The person who purchased the pass needs to bring confirmation that the pass was sold them. This confirmation should be from the person who sold the pass. A printed e-mail from the person who sold pass using the e-mail account used to log into our website and purchase the pass would work.

Without confirmation, we may not able to validate the transfer.
