Happy Spring from the Charleston Lindy Exchange Planning Team! The blooming buds and warming weather have us even more excited about the upcoming Charleston Lindy Exchange weekend from May 15-18, 2008! Don’t forget that Early Bird Registration ends April 1st, so please save your loved ones a couple bucks and remind them.

We have a host of exciting announcements and updates below!

Venues: We have finalized our venues for the CHEX weekend online and have added a Beach House Dance (oh, yes!) on Sunday evening and Blues Room to the mix for Late Night on Friday and Saturday nights! Check out the final list online at our "Venues" page.

Music: In addition to confirming Charleston ’s very own Joe Clarke Big Band and the Bobbie Storm Band, we have also added many of YOUR favorite DJ’s from across the Southeast to the line-up! Check out our “Music” page online to see who has made the list so far!

Hospitality: Our Team has been working hard to up the ante on hospitality. We have secured an airline discount of 10% off through the AirTran Airways EventSavers Program and a significant discount through Charleston ’s brand new Mount Pleasant Courtyard Marriott. Details will be posted online on the “Hospitality” page as soon as possible. In addition, our Housing Form has been posted online. Housing is very limited, so please submit your request as soon as possible.

Special Events: As an homage to the history of Charleston we have added a USO Dance for Friday night at the Charleston Visitor’s Center (vintage attire encouraged), a Solo Charleston "Dance Off” on Saturday afternoon with sweet prizes, and a Riverside Rendezvous on Saturday evening at Vickery’s Bar and Grill on Historic Shem Creek! Details will be posted as soon as possible.

T-Shirts: Our T-shirts have been posted online and they are HOT! Not only do we have a tight design this year, but we also have a number of styles and colors available for guys and ladies! Shirts can be ordered online until May 10th. Order yours now to make sure you get you first choice of style, color, and size!

Volunteers: Volunteers are an essential part of presenting the Charleston Lindy Exchange. As a token of our appreciation this year, we will be offering $20 off of the price of registration for up to 20 volunteers contributing 5 hours or more. Sign-up and details are available online.
